He continues to contribute to Jay-Z's Life+Times, and his byline can be found everywhere from the New York Times to Coveteur, Cool Hunting, WSJ Off Duty, GQ and more. And what's more, Yale is the Director of Content for Laird + Partners, a leading creative agency specializing in luxury fashion and lifestyle brands.

WHAT WOULD THE TITLE OF YOUR AUTOBIOGRAPHY BE?
That’s a tough one. Get back to me in 20 years.

WHAT CAN’T YOU TRAVEL WITHOUT AND WHY?
Fully charged electronics – all of them. Imagine being on a plane with a dead iPhone, iPad and Macbook. Wow – now that I write that, I’m a full Apple addict.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE TRAVEL DESTINATION?
Turks and Caicos. Parrot Cay specifically. Had the most incredible trip of my life there. Would go back in a heartbeat… and I will.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON IN NYC?
Sunday afternoons are my ‘personal’ day. I usually spend the day alone, roaming the city. I usually like to wake up early, do a spin class, and then walk across the city from east to west with no plan in mind. It’s the one day of the week that I can follow my self-made carefree agenda.

IF YOU COULD CHOOSE ONE PERSON TO SHOW YOU “THEIR NEW YORK CITY,” WHO WOULD IT BE?
Fran Leibowitz. Hands down.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE NYC RESTAURANTS?
I have always loved and will always love Torrisi. The dinner is a set menu and is by far the most incredible meal I’ve had throughout my years living here. There’s also Carbone which I find incredible. Both downtown. Both badass.

WHAT’S YOUR GO-TO SPOT IN NYC FOR DRINKS?
There’s this small little wine bar on my street called The Immigrant Wine Bar that I love. It’s quiet, it’s dark and it’s perfect for one-on-one conversations.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE NYC STORES?
I love the vintage shops in the East Village. I love nothing more than a worked-in t-shirt, and I have found some really good ones here. The shops on East 7th and East 11th Streets between Avenue A and Second Avenue and Avenue A are my favorites.

WHAT MUSIC ARE YOU LISTENING TO THESE DAYS?
NATALIA KILLS! Saturday Night is such a power song.

WHAT ALBUM OR SONG WOULD YOU CONSIDER YOUR PERSONAL SOUNDTRACK TO NYC?
“This Must Be The Place” by The Talking Heads. It reminds me of packing my bags and moving here, some really fun memories that I’ve encountered here, and the lyrics seem timelessly applicable.
