Winka Dubbeldam

Winka Dubbeldam is an award-winning architect, arts curator, professor, and director of the Post-Professional Program in Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania. She is founder and principal of Archi-Tectonics, NYC, and recipient of the ‘Emerging Voice’ Award in Architecture (2001) and the IIDA /Metropolis Smart Environments Award (2006).

What would the title of your autobiography be?
“What I Would Be If I Were Not an Architect?”

What can’t you travel without and why?
I travel with as little as possible…… So I guess my credit card.

Where is your favorite travel destination?
Seminyak, west coast of Bali (check that!!!).

If you could choose one person to show you “their New York City,” who would it be and why?
Andy Warhol in 1975.

What or who has inspired you recently and why?
Traveling to India and visiting the events in Delhi and the outskirts of the city with Indian friends.
