Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez
Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez are the co-founders and designers of the American fashion brand Proenza Schouler. Awarded with the inaugural CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund award in 2004, the emerging brand was established as a leading talent in the industry. Proenza Schouler has won five CFDA awards including the 2003 Swarovski award for Ready to Wear, the 2009 Accessory Designer of the Year award, and the Womenswear Designer of the Year award in 2007, 2011 and 2013. The two met while studying at NYC's prestigious Parsons School of Design, after they both abandoned their original courses of study (pre-med and glassblowing, respectively) to pursue fashion.

Garden and cook, hike, watch a little TV.

The Degenerate Art show at the Neue Galerie is spectacular.
What are your favorite NYC restaurants?
En Brasserie is delicious – we always order the watercress salad with tofu skin. Carbone is always a great night.
What’s your go-to spot in NYC for drinks?
The Tavern on Jane.
What’s your favorite NYC brunch spot?
Il Buco Alimentari is a perfect brunch spot – especially upstairs.

What’s a must-do recommendation for NYC visitors?
Farmer’s markets are incredible.
What are some of your favorite NYC stores?
We are both fans of Uniqlo – it’s great for basics and covers all the bases. We also like John Derian in the East Village.
