Joseph Quartana is the creative force behind Six-Scents Parfums and SEVEN New York, a fashion boutique in SoHo whose commitment to avant-garde, progressive labels has earned it the status of a GrandLife favorite.  A globe-trotting, trendspotting Wunderkind and fashion authority for publications including V:Man and New York Magazine, Quartana co-founded SEVEN New York in 2000, launched Six-Scents in 2008, and has since acquired a list of celebrity devotees that includes Björk, Kanye West, Mary J. Blige, and Jennifer Lopez.

A Napoleon Complex Born in 1975.

What can’t you travel without?
iPhone because I need to be linked in.

Where is your favorite travel destination?
Anywhere in Italy but specifically the Aeolian Islands, even more specifically Panarea.

If you could choose one person to show you “their New York City,” who would it be?
Sasha Grey, just out of curiosity.

What or who has inspired you recently?
The menswear designer Raf Simons always inspires me and just did again in Paris last week with his S/S ’12 show.  The band Factory Floor is blowing my mind, as are the production duo of ‘Get a Room!’ with their re-edits; runner up, the French band Bot’ox.
