On the corner of Greenwich and North Moore sits Yvez, a classic American bistro. The restaurant was opened by Matt Abramcyk and Akiva Elstein, the team behind Navy and Smith & Mills. Their rustic, inviting aesthetic remains present in their latest spot, making it one of those classic, feel-good establishments. The overall vibe is sleek and modern – without feeling like they’re trying too hard.
Head Chef Daniel Berg, longtime veteran of neighboring restaurant Locanda Verde, creates a menu that is refined yet approachable. Dishes include upscale classics like chicken meatballs, potato gnocchi, roast chicken, and veal schnitzel. Our favorite? The grilled octopus with black mission fig, nicoise aioli, and aleppo pepper paired with the Beauty & the Brut gin cocktail.
