James Fuentes Gallery

With an inaugural work by octogenarian filmmaker Jonas Mekas, featuring old footage of Fuentes moving into the new gallery space, with some with shots made in the shadow of the World Trade Center, for a show appropriately titled “To New York With Love,” the new James Fuentes Gallery was opened at 55 Delancey. Formerly in Chinatown, the gallery represents a cross-generational group of artists with multi-disciplinary practices, specializing in historically significant work from the 1950’s – 1990’s. And with the new space providing a total of 1,200 square-feet of space for exhibitions and James’ endless creative vision, the future is looking mighty bright.
