Another addition to the Andrew Tarlow family of restaurants & markets is Diner, the neighbor of Marlow & Sons in Williamsburg. Started in 1998, Diner has done Brooklyn fare right long before it was a trend. Set in a narrow, snug metal dining car from 1927, the vibe is irresistible and the food always sustainable and seasonal. Reservations aren’t accepted so best to head over early for lunch, dinner, or weekend brunch. Expect both traditional and new American fare – the frittata with roasted eggplant and goat cheese, grilled pork chops with sweet potatoes, and steamed mussels are just some of the many items that could be on the ever-changing menu.
