Brinkley’s Pub and Kitchen is a SoHo neighborhood staple. With a hip happy hour and jumbo flatscreen TVs behind the bar streaming European and American sports, it’s an über-popular gathering place for unwinding after work and on weekends. The seasonal ingredients and English pub influence imbue the menu with upscale classics like the Stilton Blue Cheese Burger, Monkfish Fritters and Duck Liver Pate. Quirkier offerings include Pork Belly on Pretzel Bread and Sweet Chili Quail Wings. All of the beers and wine are from New York State and the cocktail list includes cleverly-named coolers like the White Trash Julep (Bourbon, Grape Syrup, Lemonade) or the Exile on Broome Street (Fernet Branca, Ginger Syrup, Lime). Wednesday jazz night and Sunday’s British-style roast dinner with all the fixings and dessert are all the more reason to work this upscale gastropub into your repertoire.
