Tucked away in two floors of a historic West Village townhouse, Bobo exudes charm. There are three distinct dining areas with very different atmospheres: an exposed brick ground floor dominated by a large bar, the more formal dining room taking up the parlor floor, and the outdoor garden area perfect for summer evenings. From the same team behind equally beloved Rosemary’s and Claudette, the menu is fresh and vaguely French, would could also be said of the parlors décor. Feeling more like an elegant “bobo” (bourgeoise/bohemian) dinner party than a traditional restaurant in the best way possible, it’s a perfect spot for a date or a group celebration.
