Come dance with us! Join us we step back into SEVILLE, spain, circa 1933 for a seductive and fiery evening of live FLAMENCO music, dance performances, dancing, exquisite craft cocktails, and intriguingly glamorous fellow guests.

one of the world's foremost flamenco artists, ARTURO MARTINEZ's ensemble ESPIRITU GITANO, will play all evening. the ensemble includes amazing vocalist ALFONSO CID and renowned vocalist and dancer BARBARA MARTINEZ. in addition, dancers MARIA DE LOS ANGELAS and ELIZABET TORRA will dance the flamenco. they will be performing music that would have been heard in seville in the 1930s . . .

Dress Code: Dressy. think elegantly decadent attire. come dressed in 1930's style, dressy vintage, gowns, and dapper suits. cocktail attire is also appropriate, though no casual attire will be admitted. dress as a matador, a spanish film star star, a spanish militairy or political figure, a visiting american movie star, or however you might have dressed for an underground evening in an international clandestine club in seville spain in 1933.

Juliette Campbell started producing the time traveling, speakeasy cabaret "Shanghai Mermaid" in 2007, which kicked off the current hot jazz scene, the vintage party scene, and new york's immersive party phenomenon. Shanghai Mermaid has since spawned several smaller soirées, including "Shanghai Express", which happens exclusively at The Django, and the monthly "Moonlight and Music on the Hudson" which happens monthly on the Clipper City sailboat, May through October.
