An auditory architect for New York City’s dimly-lit and tightly-gated downtown haunts, Sean Augustine March has been a notable face amongst the young creative set for some time. Now, the DJ-about-town is shifting his distinguishable tune, and embarking on the art world with a light and reflection project titled In Vanity. Comprised of a series of sculptures and mosaics made of illuminated pyramids, the installation transforms the space in which it sits into a mirrored oasis. The geometrical shapes cultivate a euphoric experience that explores the idea of the infinite through a kaleidoscope of vibrant color, while the prism medium creates a striking landscape for the viewer. March also provides a video tour with an electro symphony accompaniment that evokes his knowledge of sound. A limited edition exhibition, In Vanity will be on view at the Rivington Design House from December 8th through January 15th.
