West Side Community Garden’s Annual Tulip Festival will be in full bloom Saturday April 30 and Sunday May 1. With a display of more than 13,000 tulips, spring flowers, and blossoming trees, this celebration of Spring attracts flower lovers from throughout the New York City region and around the world.

The Westside Community Garden is celebrating its 42nd year as a serene green space for gardeners and visitors alike. Open daily from dawn to dusk during the blooming season, admission to the Tulip Festival is free through the entrance at 123 West 89th Street (between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues).

Member volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and distribute educational materials and Garden event schedules for 2016. This year’s Tulip Festival program features expert tours, a flower arrangement class, and live piano music.
On Saturday Saturday April 30, at 1 PM, the Tulip Festival will be offering tulip education with Garden Tours by WSCG’s Chief Horticulturalist, Tom Thies.

The West Side Community Garden Tulip Festival is funded through the generosity of our Upper West Side neighbors, members and friends, with leadership support from the Greenacre Foundation and the Lily Auchincloss Foundation. An all-volunteer, privately owned, not-for-profit entity, the West Side Community Garden is in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and is completely accessible.

Transportation: Subways: C or B (weekdays only) to 86th Street or 96th Street; 1 to 86th or 1, 2, 3 to 96th Street. Buses: M11 or M7 to West 90th Street.
