WEEKLY PLAYLIST: TENNESSEE THOMAS

This week’s GrandLife playlist comes to you from the inimitable Tennessee Thomas.

Daughter of Pete Thomas, drummer for Elvis Costello & The Attractions, she followed in her fathers footsteps and became a drummer in the indie rock group, The Like. The band was formed in September 2001 by the three friends which also included, Elizabeth “Z” Berg (vocals/guitar), and Charlotte Froom (bass/vocals) at the ages of 15 and 16!

Tennessee Thomas is a regular DJ on the NYC nightlife circuit, and plays a bountiful mix of 50′s and 60′s jumpin’, swingin’, jivin’ tunes that always gets the dancefloor heaving.

We’re so excited to have her as a guest playlist contributor, and especially thrilled as this is Tennessee’s first ever download-able mixtape!
