PARIS FASHION WEEK: 3.1 PHILLIP LIM & DVN
3.1 Phillip Lim and Dries Van Noten put their best fashion foot forward today in Paris for Men's Fashion Week.
Today has been a good day. At 9.30am, Phillip Lim put 28 looks down a runway on a bevvy of the world’s finest male models, in the city of Paris.
Geometric prints and color blocking were a big feature, as was structured coating and high pants. 3.1 Phillip Lim can do no wrong.
We also watched Dries Van Noten live on NOW FASHION. There is no doubt that Dries Van Noten is fashion royalty and every single collection is covetable in its entirety.
This collection is no exception. With a lot of trademark belgian black on black, as well as his signature modern suiting, DVN perked up the range with an incredible ‘hand-drawn’ print. Dutch artists Gijs Frieling and Job Wouters created a mural live in the background that featured the same architectural and typographic print.
The bold prints were a representation of the Belgian designer’s theme, “psychedelic elegance” which further added to the late Sixties-early Seventies mood of the collection.
